The RESPOND Accelerator Program of the BMW Foundation challenges founders of sustainable start-ups in a variety of different topics. Questioning how the social or environmental impact of their start-up can be sustainably measured and communicated, how their business can be scaled, and challenging the allocation of ownership in their company are only a few examples. Particularly regarding questions of ownership, steward-ownership is one of our central approaches and Purpose has become an important partner.

Changing the way how we invest has a massive impact on the future economy and businesses we enable. A growing number of Investors and Partners are looking for steward-owned businesses. I believe that an economy with more steward-owned businesses could work better in the future than the economy we have built over the last 40 years.
