The start-up Charge Horizons was founded in Dresden in June 2021. With its product ChargeHolidays, the company offers an online platform and smartphone app that promotes sustainable traveling. Hotels and accommodations receive individual profiles and can thus visibly and transparently illustrate their efforts in sustainability.

Making sustainable travel the most attractive and convenient option for leisure, business, and group travelers is the mission of ChargeHorizons. Combining different sustainability labels such as social sustainability, resource & waste management, and mobility, the Chargeholidays sustainability check creates a maximum of transparency and promotes more sustainability in the tourism industry. To ensure that sustainability and entrepreneurial independence are also embedded in the company’s legal structure, the start-up was founded in steward-ownership. The Purpose Foundation holds the veto share and thus protects the principles of steward-ownership in the future.
