Autorenwelt is an online platform for German-speaking (and writing!) authors that was founded in 2015. Through the platform, authors have access to industry-specific news, specialist articles as well as free-lance services needed for their publications and work. In addition, the Autorenwelt forum offers a space for exchange and networking. Freelance editors, test readers, and other services offered on the platform help authors to get their work ready for publication. And even the last step is included in the platform: finished publications can be sold in the Autorenwelt shop.
A literacy platform run by authors for authors
Autorenwelt’s mission is to foster fair and equal cooperation and partnership in the literacy business. It is a literature platform run by authors for authors, with the goal to not only facilitate the publication process but to also strengthen the authors’ position towards publishing houses and online marketplaces. To protect its mission in the long run, Autorenwelt transitioned to steward-ownership in June 2021. Purpose supported their transformation process and holds one percent of the voting shares to guard the steward-ownership structure in the long run.
As a steward-owned company, the ownership structure of Autorenwelt now finally reflects what we stand for. Our partners and customers now have the legal security that Autorenwelt will forever pursue its founding purpose.
