Michael Hetzer ist Unternehmer und hat das von seinem Vater gegründete Unternehmern elobau übernommen. 2016 hat er das Unternehmen mit über 1000 Mitarbeitern in Verantwortungseigentum überführt. Heute ist er noch Verantwortungseigentümer bei elobau. Als Angel-Investor interessiert sich Michael besonders für die Bereiche der nachhaltigen, ökologischen Landwirtschaft und klimafreundliche Technologien.
